What La Luna tastes like…

Mezcal on its own has a flavor that makes it completely different from other alcoholic beverages; for example: cooked agave, citrus, smokiness, and earthy tones. However, there is also a wide variety of flavored mezcals. This is thanks to mezcal’s versatility, which allows the addition of various ingredients such as herbs, fruits, or even insects—either during distillation or by introducing them directly into the bottle. The aging time also plays a role. To create flavored mezcal, fruits or herbs are incorporated during the second or third distillation to soften its tones. Another method to achieve a different tasting experience is storing it in wooden barrels for varying periods, resulting in reposado and añejo mezcals.
